What an experience! We saw coast line, cliff edges, fields, streams and woodlands. Couldn’t of had a better day of walking! David is lovely and friendly and it’s interesting to learn the history of the area. You definitely wouldn’t get any of this walking without him. One of our favourite parts of the trip and he also told us great places to go afterwards. Would highly recommend doing this!

It was a fairytale walk over fields and meadows, through enchanted forests and forgotten little valleys. Over the rocks to the coast with infinite views over the Atlantic. Available walks

Morwenstow Coast Circular


Medium / 3.5 mile / 2-3 hours - £25 per person


This route has it all - miles of clifftop walking, a walk out onto Sharpnose Point, ancient churchyards, countryside fields, wooded valleys and a stop at Hawker’s Hut. Perfect if you just have half a day and want to get to some of the more remote parts of the coast. Route starts and ends at a beautiful 13th Century Pub in the middle of nowhere, which offers the perfect place to refuel.


Hawker's Hut Loop



Easy / 1.5 - 2 mile / 1 hour - £15 per person



This spectacular loop on flat and easy terrain goes out to the coast for some high cliff views and a visit to the historic Hawker’s Hut built into the cliff in the 1800’s. Great for those with limited time or to avoid steep trails.


A Half Day on the Coast Path



Medium / 5.5 - 7 miles / 4-6 hours- £50 per person



This route follows the South West Coast Path all the way, between Hartland Quay to the Cornwall / Devon border. This is a great chance to spend a lot of time on the coast and enjoy high clifftop panoramas while the terrain is still relatively easygoing. Can include a visit to the Shipwreck museum and a detour into Marsland Valley nature reserve.


Valley to Valley Walk



Challenging / 5.5 - 8.5 miles / 4-6 hours- £45 per person



Can be taken as a one-way route or loop back along seldom-used footpaths. This route joins two of the most spectacular coastal valleys in the South West, via the Coast Path. Walk through ancient woodland in the Marsland Nature Reserve, then walk on the challenging and steep coastal terrain to Tidna Valley. This route is not for the faint-hearted, and while it is physically demanding with numerous steep ascents and descents, for those who are able it is rewarded by some of the most exhilarating and remote scenery the area has to offer.


North Devon Shipwreck Walk



Medium / 4-6 miles / 3-5 hours- £30 per person



A walk on the rugged Hartland Peninsula, with a focus on the history and shipwrecks that dot the coastline. Includes a visit to the Shipwreck Museum (created by my father) at Hartland Quay, miles of spectacular coast views, and a beautiful waterfall.


Marsland Valley Woodland to Coast walk



Medium / 3-4 mile / 2-3 hours- £20 per person



This route really is off the beaten track. Walk on little-known trails that only the locals know, leading down Marsland Valley Nature reserve. Follow the Cornwall – Devon border through ancient oak woodland until it spills out into the Atlantic at the isolated Marsland Beach, only accessible on foot. Then a steep up and down the clifftop to Welcombe Mouth and a return on sleepy country lanes.


Full Day on the Coast Path



Challenging / 8 - 15 miles / 6-10 hours- £80 per person
